{"id":181,"date":"2013-03-04T20:49:33","date_gmt":"2013-03-05T02:49:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/ds501\/?p=181"},"modified":"2013-03-08T14:38:36","modified_gmt":"2013-03-08T20:38:36","slug":"assignment-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/ds501\/2013\/03\/04\/assignment-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Assignment 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Due for Class 3\/12\/13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is assignment is to give a pitch for a project you would be interested in pursuing.\u00a0 You will give a 5 minute presentation in class.\u00a0 Things you should cover in your presentation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What you are trying to do<\/li>\n<li>Why you think this would be interesting<\/li>\n<li>Things you think you know how to do<\/li>\n<li>Things you don&#8217;t think you know how to do<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After you finish the presentation we will open up for questions.\u00a0 Pay attention to everyone\u00a0 presentations.\u00a0 After class I will have you email me:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two to three projects you would be interested on working on<\/li>\n<li>Projects you would definitely not want to work on<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Addition Info:\u00a0I have had some questions about the specifics about what I am looking for. \u00a0Here is kind of an FAQ<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How should I try to frame what I am pitching?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Think of trying to pitch an experience you would like to create. \u00a0For instance, &#8220;I want to create the experience of being in a sea battle with pirates.&#8221;
