{"id":607,"date":"2014-12-05T22:26:44","date_gmt":"2014-12-05T22:26:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/projects\/?p=607"},"modified":"2015-04-13T16:20:58","modified_gmt":"2015-04-13T16:20:58","slug":"code-progress-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/projects\/2014\/12\/05\/code-progress-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Code Progress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fixed it. \u00a0I think. \u00a0Half fixed it?<\/p>\n<p>It rendered. \u00a0Several times. \u00a0Buttons do what they&#8217;re supposed to.<\/p>\n<p>It still\u00a0crashes; seemingly always when using a dummy Rift, sometimes when using a real\u00a0one. \u00a0Seems random. \u00a0Goes in streaks. \u00a0Will look into disabling timewarp &#8212; that seems to be what it&#8217;s doing when it breaks.<\/p>\n<p>Motion looks strange; I don&#8217;t think the distortion-correction shaders are working correctly, chromatic and spherical distortions are\u00a0very much present.<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise needs some polish. \u00a0For instance, after seeing the throwing target in the Rift,\u00a0I realize I&#8217;ll need to work in world instead of view coords. \u00a0This means passing in a few more uniforms, or adjusting the origin of the pointcloud scene.<\/p>\n<p>I should probably look into modifying pointcloud scenes, anyway.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fixed it. \u00a0I think. \u00a0Half fixed it?
