This document is meant to help get us started with some of the tools we will us in the class. \u00a0Please either add comments or make new posts with problems and solutions you come across in trying to get software and hardware to working on your system.<\/p>\n

First get Unity:\u00a0https:\/\/unity3d.com\/get-unity<\/p>\n

The personal edition is fine<\/p>\n

next get the oculus sdk:\u00a0https:\/\/developer.oculus.com\/<\/p>\n

It is possible that V.0.7.0.0 may not work on your system. \u00a0You can try other versions as well:\u00a0https:\/\/developer.oculus.com\/downloads\/<\/p>\n

As a UW-Madison Student you have access to Lynda.com. \u00a0However, logging in can be a bit strange. \u00a0I have found the best method is to click login, then click “Organization Login” and click “Not sure how to log in”. \u00a0This seems to work consistently for me.<\/p>\n
