I programmed the LED lights to turn on automatically when the surroundings are dark using the Lilypad light sensor. I then sewed the light sensor, LEDs and board into a pattern that I designed and screen printed onto the purse, which I intended to look like the terrace sunburst design. I tried to integrate the technological elements of my project onto the design in a subtle and cohesive manner.

Overall, I am very satisfied with what I accomplished with my warm-up project since my experience in both the programming and designing fields are limited. I accomplished what I had initially pitched as my project and learned a lot throughout the whole process. However, if I had more time and resources I would have liked to add LEDs to each burst so the lights would have a greater impact. Also I would have made it so the LEDs adjusted how much light they were giving off based on the amount of light in the surroundings.

For the warm-up project I created a purse intended to act as a light source when walking in the dark.
