I determined that I am able to get the best read from the sensor when it is placed on the inside of my wrist.\u00a0 I think\u00a0this will work nicely with the design of my jacket. I will put a velcro strap on the inside\u00a0of the\u00a0cuff to secure the sensor to the skin.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/wearablecomputing-13\/2013\/11\/22\/week-4-update\/pulse-sensor-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-540\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-540\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/wearablecomputing-13\/files\/2013\/11\/pulse-sensor1-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/wearablecomputing-13\/files\/2013\/11\/pulse-sensor1-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/wearablecomputing-13\/files\/2013\/11\/pulse-sensor1.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Describe the problems you encountered.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No major problems this week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Describe the successes you had.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I was excited to get the pulse sensor working.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are you on schedule?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I am on schedule.\u00a0 Originally I had planned to finish the construction of the jacket first, but it made more sense to get the sensors up and running to determine how they will be best incorporated\u00a0into the construction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you plan to do next week?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Before Thanksgiving break I would like to make sure the proximity sensor works and start sewing the jacket together.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What did you do this week?
