What did you do?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Purchased my roving and all of my felting supplies<\/li>\n<li>Began dye tests<\/li>\n<li>Worked on refining the lightning program<\/li>\n<li>Received my small boards and MOSFETs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Problems<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The roving is turning out to be more of an issue than anticipated.\u00a0 I started with a huge ball of roving:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/wearablecomputing-13\/files\/2013\/11\/photo1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-565\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/wearablecomputing-13\/files\/2013\/11\/photo1-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/wearablecomputing-13\/files\/2013\/11\/photo1-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/wearablecomputing-13\/files\/2013\/11\/photo1.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Than I applied my dyes, using a color scheme of grey and a dark grey\/purple to create the storm cloud effect.\u00a0 This was the outcome:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/wearablecomputing-13\/files\/2013\/11\/2013-11-22-06.36.511.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-567\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/wearablecomputing-13\/files\/2013\/11\/2013-11-22-06.36.511-168x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"168\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/wearablecomputing-13\/files\/2013\/11\/2013-11-22-06.36.511-168x300.jpg 168w, https:\/\/blogs.discovery.wisc.edu\/wearablecomputing-13\/files\/2013\/11\/2013-11-22-06.36.511.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 168px) 100vw, 168px\" \/><\/a>\u00a0 \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obviously, some additional work is needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3. Successes<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I tested my wiring plan and I am able to power each 15 led &#8220;cloud&#8221; off of a single pin.<\/li>\n<li>I refined the lightning program to give a more realistic stutter effect.<\/li>\n<li>The programming was so successful, that I&#8217;ve decided to add a knit stretch sensor to control the storm intensity via gesture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>4. Schedule?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Still doing reasonably well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>5. Next Week?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I have major goals to be completed by the end of Thanksgiving:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Dye all roving<\/li>\n<li>Felt yardage<\/li>\n<li>Drape and sew gown<\/li>\n<li>Create stretch sensor<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>It&#8217;s going to be a busy week!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
