Databank of Time-Varying Point Clouds
Created and compiled by the Living Environments Laboratory, part of the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery
Authors: Markus Broecker, Evan Hernandez, Matthew Nelson, Colin Tucker, and Kevin Ponto
This page contains download links for various datasets of time-varying point clouds. All .png image data (not shown here) were gathered using stills and video shots from a standard DSLR (Cannon T3i/T4i), and all point cloud files were generated using Agisoft PhotoScan. Included with each of these datasets is a description of the conditions under which the data were taken, as well as a list of observations. Note that all downloads are in a compressed text file format.

Office Cubicles
Point Cloud Data
View point cloud
Description
A small office complex with cubicles and separate offices.
Scan Conditions
- Point cloud created from multiple LiDAR scans
- About 55 million points in this data set

School of Nursing Apartment
Point Cloud Data
View point cloud
Description
This is a scan of the School of Nursing's simulated home care environment. It has a separate bedroom and bathroom as well as kitchen, dining area and a living room. The scan contains some 46 million points. The scripts to display this point cloud are a bit more experimental and rough than the scripts used to display the other point clouds. Your browser may hang or crash.
Scan Conditions
- Data gathered using a FARO Focus3D LiDAR scanner
- 10 scans combined into a single point cloud
- FARO SCENE for registration and filtering of points
- 46 Million points
