I am an associate professor in the Design Studies Department in The School of Human Ecology and in Virtual Environments at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery (WID).  Much of my current research revolves around the simulation of real-world environments in virtual reality.

My Background

In the fall of 2010, I joined the University of Wisconsin – Madison as post-doctoral scholar as a member of the UW Computer Graphics Lab, the Living Environments Lab, and the The Computation and Informatics in Biology and Medicine (CIBM) program.

I graduated from from the University of California, San Diego with a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in September 2010. I was affliated with the The University of California, San Diego’s Center of Interdisciplinary Science for Art, Architecture and Archaeology (CISA3) and the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2).

I received my M.S. from the University of California, Irvine through the Arts Computation Engineering program in August 2006. I received my B.S. in Computer Engineering from the Unviersity of Wisconsin – Madison.
