Project Description:
The goal of this project is to create the experience of being Bucky Badger (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bucky_Badger).  The user will be placed in front of a virtual crowd and their goal will be to excite the masses. The user’s body will be tracked in space via a Microsoft Kinect but will visually be replaced by a virtual mapping of Bucky.  The user will wear an Oculus Rift and will be placed in a virtual simulation of Camp Randall.  The user will be able to see their actions projected on the large screen displays (jumbotrons) around the stadium. The project is meant to be entertaining, but may also provide a means to do a study in which users actions are compared when they see themselves being a mascot compared to being themselves.

I know how to track motions and gestures and map them to a virtual character

Things I Would Need Help With:

I don’t know how to do a crowd simulation.  I would need help on performing analysis on motions.
