Project Description:
The goal of this project is to create a virtual chatting situation that allow several users chat with each other in the environment provided. The user will be placed in a chatting room or somewhere beautiful with other users. The user’s body will be tracked in space via a Microsoft Kinect but will visually be replaced by a virtual mapping of a virtual character that the user choose to present himself together with his name above his head and they will wear an Oculus Rift to be placed in a virtual simulation mentioned above. Users will see each other and chat or doing something together. The project is meant to provide the experience of virtual social, but may also provide a means to do a study in which users actions are compared when they meet friends in the real world.

I don’t know how to track motions and gestures and map them to a virtual character.
