What each individual in the group worked on over the last week
Ekta, Mushahid:
Sat down and talked to Campus and Visitor relations. We were informed that special approval from marketing, communications and chancellor was needed which is a very long process and they might not agree for a class project. Also video of the renovations on campus grounds are not in the school’s interest. Many private companies also tried to contact for a VR tour project and the request was declined.
Acquired the tripod and audio recorder needed to start videotaping the scenes on campus.
Ivan:
Further attempts to contact Campus & Visitor relations via email & phone were unsuccessful.
Created the list of locations according to team discussion on important locations to have in the final video.
A description of the accomplishments made
We were able to successfully work with the Ricoh Theta and ready to film at the locations.
Our plan b is ready to be taken and should be in effect by Friday. A video is projected to be ready by early next week.
A description of the problems encountered
Our request was denied to work with a private tour guide by the university. We are resorting to plan B and will start filming immediately.
Still sorting out audio issues but should be fine.
Plans for the upcoming week
Shoot the Video as per the timeline created.
Merger all the video clips and create a linear video
If time permits add a interface using unity to let user select Navigate through videos
Prepare Final Project Presentation
At least one piece of media related to your work (image, video, audio, etc)
