On Tuesday I struggled the entire class, trying to figure out which pins on the Simblee lilypad supported I2C communication, in order to talk to my sensor. I emailed Simblee that night, and they got back to me pretty quickly, so I was able to successfully connect my IMU sensor and the lilypad on Thursday.
On Friday, I took a meeting with WeightUp solutions. They are a gBeta company that is working on something very similar to me, They had a lot of good advice about things that are going to be difficult in my project, and also gave me a small black sweat wristband which had a zipper pocket, so that I could put my hardware on my arm ASAP and start collecting data.
Over spring break I hope I can begin to get a feel for what the data looks like. When we resume class I hope to get the board and sensor stitched onto fabric by the end of the week.
