Accomplishments: I finished the 555 chip circuit for controlling the servo motor and it works reasonably well. I also completed sewing the orange EL wire into an outer square. For the purple chasing EL wire I looked at a lot of designs before settling on the word ‘magic’ in Arabic script. I traced the letters in chalk on the bottom of the carpet (twice, because I forgot it would be mirrored on top) and started sewing that EL wire in also.

Problems or Issues: I’m concerned about how the POV kit will look on the carpet – will it be possible to wave the carpet so the design can be seen? I need to experiment with it some more. Also time is definitely a factor now.

Week Plan: Sew, sew, sew! And solder the servo/555 to the prototyping board once that comes in the mail.
