Weekly Update #2

1. An image or video (this could either be photograph of the current state of your work, a sketch, a diagram, etc)

Wanting to incorporate reflective material onto the bodice I looked into seattle fabrics. However the shipping cost was too prices. Upon further research I was able to create my own reflective piping by using iron on reflective tape on muslin and sewing that to the edge of the garment. Below is the image of the first test sample with the reflective tape.

2. A Listing of accomplishments made by all group members for the previous week

I was able to plan out the details for the top of the dress. Additionally I go a new computer that is more reliable. This will make it easier for me to work on the programing. Overall this was a pretty slow working session that I will need catch up on.

3. A description of problems encountered and outstanding issues (highlight anything that you are looking for help on)

Having spring break, plus the UW threads fashion show coming up, I fell a little behind schedule on my work. This is mainly due to poor planing of my time and traveling between states. I am still having a little bit of difficulty with uploading the code as the micro controller that I intend to use is not the Arduino but rather the Adifruit trinket.

4. A plan for the next week of work

Have the skyline for the top and the bottom of the dress completely cut out in the actual material, start sewing the top of the dress together and create a layout for the lights.
