Done this week:

Redesigned the bracket to work with magnets; schematic above, minus cover.

Purchased / Recieved LED diffusing plastic, seems like it should work.

Final design for the fabric portion is set, but still needs to be built.

Identified all the needed code for trinket I2C slaves.

Issues:

Pretty sick this weekend and didn’t get as much done as hoped — should still be on track if I can get the bulk of the sewing done on Monday, but may have to simplify some of the planned code.

A plan for the next week of work:

(3D print, design) Finish initial 3D printing, maybe try a round at higher quality / slower speed.

(design, sew) Get fabric for, and start making the final poncho.

(software) Build a trinket I2C slave.  Build sub-modules that change behavior of the garment when attached.
