Discussion: Our final readings for the semester will focus on recreating dilemma situations in virtual reality.  As with the previous few posts, I will leave the format of your responses up to you.  Be sure to write at least four paragraphs and address these following questions:

  • Do you believe that these studies are useful and informative or are purely an academic exercise?
  • Do you believe that these studies are ethical?
  • What are the benefits of creating situations which could be traumatic for participants?
  • What are the dangers of this type of research?
